MELVILLE, N.Y., Dec. 9 American Home Mortgage Investment Corp., a mortgage real estate investment trust (REIT), today announced that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.66 per share on the Company's common stock and a quarterly cash dividend of $0.609375 on the Company's 9.75% Series A Cumulative Redeemable Preferred Stock.

The common stock dividend is payable on January 25, 2005, to shareholders of record as of January 5, 2005.

The preferred stock dividend is payable on January 31, 2005, to shareholders of record as of January 5, 2005.
